Machine architecture and the limits of parallel speedup: the architecture of the IBM System/360, held twice as the 1964 original and the journal's own 2000 reprint and linked reprint-of, and 'Validity of the single processor approach to achieving large scale computing capabilities' (1967), the paper Amdahl's law is named from. That paper sits in performance-against-isolation rather than an architecture set, which is a deliberate reading: the law is about what a shared resource does to a parallel speedup.
