Ordering and agreement in distributed systems: what 'before' can mean when there is no shared clock, the Byzantine generals problem with the earlier agreement-in-the-presence-of-faults result it builds on, and distributed snapshots. The records arrived under two spellings, now joined, and the split put the 1980 result under the abbreviated form -- so a search on the full name returned the famous 1982 statement of the problem and not the earlier result behind it.
