Under the section label 'ESSAY' the page runs title, byline 'By MARC ANDREESSEN', the date 20 August 2011, and then straight into the first sentence: 'This week, Hewlett-Packard (where I am on the board) announced that it is exploring jettisoning its struggling PC business...'. A newspaper opinion essay carries no abstract, and this printing carries no deck or standfirst either. Established by reading the copy. |
